Art to the Rescue

Sound Installation

2015

48 Stunden Neukölln Art Festival, Berlin

Art to the Rescue is a response to the theme of 48 Stunden Neukölln Art Festival “S.O.S Art Saves the World”. Intentionally dealing with the theme as a plot line, the s.o.s signal is interpreted by sounds of different artistic style, and played in the form of a radio announcement, as a reflection to the actual history of the adoption of “S.O.S” as the distress signal, which was first done by the German government in 1905.

The light blinks as the morse code is being played, synchronizing the sound.
